Gimme Shelter - featuring Tom Jones

In 1992 we were approached by a Charity organization to record a version of the Rolling Stones’ classic ‘Gimme Shelter’. The project was called ‘Putting Our House in Order’ and was linked to Shelter in the UK - which is concerned with the ongoing crisis of homelessness. Other artists were also asked, and number of very different interpretations were released together in 1993. For our own version, we found ourselves working with sometime Rolling Stones producer, Chris Kimsey (who we later worked with on High and Today is a Good Day), and we invited the legendary Tom Jones to sing the lead vocal and our friend Mark Feltham to play harmonica. The result was this spectacular version.

If you decide to download this, we will give 100% of the proceeds to Shelter.
